MINISTRIES
GROWING TOGETHER IN SERVICE
Ministries are an important part of the church and we encourage you to become involved! Whether leading a Children's Education class or Adult Bible study, or assuming a role on the Church Council or becoming a member of one of the below ministries, your time and talent are appreciated and needed!
COMMUNITY
The purpose of this ministry is to survey the needs of our congregation and community requiring Christian concern and action and cooperate with other congregation and community agencies, in their social education, social service, and social action. Current events planned by the Community Ministry include Free Community Dinners and the annual PLC Rummage Sale.
This ministry is currently headed by Kim Cummings.
YOUTH EDUCATION
If you enjoy being involved with our Children's Christian Education and Youth activities, we invite you to inquire about this ministry! Ministry members act as a liason between Church Council and the Education Director, providing updates and feedback to Council members.
This ministry is currently headed by Stephanie Antal and Kim Armstrong.
FELLOWSHIP
The Fellowship Ministry plans and conducts social activities for the congregation as well as invites non-members to join in the activities.
Examples of Fellowship activities include:
Bus Trip, Potluck Dinners, Soup Suppers - Lent season, Coffee Fellowship before Worship service, Men's and Ladies' Breakfasts.
PROPERTY
Property ministry members supervise the upkeep and repair of the building and property owned by this congregation. Duties also include: providing security and insurance protection, and recommending the purchase of supplies and equipment.
This ministry is currently headed by Alan Duffy, Jim Mulbach and Todd Woelfl.
EVANGELISM
This ministry supports our church’s mission by reaching out to our community, sharing the Gospel, and creating welcoming pathways for people to connect with Christ and our church family.
WORSHIP
Ministry members assist the pastor in making arrangements for the worship services including music and liturgies.
We are currently looking for members to help serve as assisting ministers. Please pray on this, and if you feel called, please reach out to Pastor Jay for more information.
This ministry is currently headed by Dan Zaranec and Mike Taylor.
