During the season of Lent, we offer Soup Suppers on Wednesday with a meal from 6-7 p.m. and a 30-minute devotional from 7-7:30 p.m. Each week we need 5-7 soups to offer to our church family and friends. Please consider making or buying soup to be served during the meal. You may bring soup as many times as you want.

Pretzel-Making Day

 

Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. ​​​​​

 

Calling all Youth and their family and friends!!!

​

You are invited to join us on Wednesday, April 9th to make homemade pretzels for the Midweek Lenten Soup Supper and Devotional. Youth and their helpers are encouraged to arrive between 4:30-5 p.m. to start the pretzel making. We are making salted, unsalted, and cinnamon pretzels we will then serve with our soup during dinner.

This is always a great evening of fun and fellowship. We hope you attend. If you can’t make the 4:30-5:00 time frame, please plan to come and eat anytime after 6:00 p.m. 

​​

We could use:

• 24 loaves of frozen bread dough. If you can donate some dough, place it in the big freezer in the small kitchen.

• We also need:

• 1 dozen eggs and 4 sticks of butter.

The King of Kings movie at Valley View Cinemark

 

Sunday, April 13, 2025, Palm Sunday, at 3:30 p.m. ​​

 

Sunday Evening Youth Education and Confirmation for April will be a movie, "The King of Kings." We have booked an entire theater for our PLC Youth, their families, and our church family. ALL Youth are FREE, and adults are $10.75  each. All snacks will be purchased by each family. We have 50 seats available to us. We can enter the theater at 3:00 pm and the movie starts at 3:30 p.m. There will be NO previews. Please RSVP to Kim Cummings.

Ladies Tea and Sandwiches

Open to all ages. Come enjoy tea, sandwiches and play a few table games with a possible activity. Dress for the Day.

37th Annual Walk for

Hunger & 5K Run

 

Saturday, May 31, 2025 

 

• 7:15 a.m. - Arrival and Check-In START

• 8:30 a.m.  - 5K Chipped Time Run START

• 9:00 a.m. - 1 mile walk START

 

Come walk or run with some of our Church Family and help raise funds for The Hunger Network. We did NOT make a Team this year, BUT we are raising funds and walking and running. You can simply donate, walk 1 mile, run a 5K or be a cheerleader at the Finish Line.

​​​​Youth Sponsored Pasta Fundraiser and Basket Raffle

 

Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.

Come enjoy a homemade meal, try to win fun-filled baskets and spend time with your friends and family. We will have 120 dinner tickets available for purchase starting May 1st. Watch for more information.

 

All proceeds will go towards the purchase of 2 AEDs (Automated External Defibrillator) and dinner for the families at The Journey for Safe Healing.

July 14-18, 2025 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

We invite you and your family & friends to Journey with Joseph through Egypt from Prison to Palace. Our VBS is FREE and open to family, friends and neighbors.

If you would like to help the VBS Team, please consider volunteering in the kitchen, as a teacher, as a helping hand and or through monetary donations. Watch future Sonbeams and bulletins for more information.

Rummage Sale

 

Thursday, August 7 through

2 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday

9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Friday & Saturday

We will start collecting donations for the sale starting May 1st. We will need MANY volunteers for this event; people sorting items throughout May, June and July, pricing, organizing, and the week prior and the days of, we will need people to help set-up, cashiers, and friends and family here to help and smile. 

 

The proceeds will go towards the Youth Group’s ministries and to the needs of the church.
